These slowly-ripened grapes develop pure fruit flavours, fresh natural acidi ty and are perfect for making world class cool-climate wines.

The palate is vibrant and juicy with more of the same red fruits as well as a hint of spice. The tannins are soft and approachable making the wine ready to be enjoyed straight away.

Balanced nicely between fruit (salty cherries, kola, tomato) and oakier, savoury (tobacco-y caramel, hints of char and meat) influences, the palate is a delightful, medium-bodied romp. Tannin is silky and acid is good.

Juicy and bright, with plenty of leafy redcurrants and red cherries up front, before a surprisingly long (and sweetening) finish.

On the palate the wine shows complex savoury fruit and spice and is long, textural and juicy. Bright, young fruit now will match well with crispy duck breast or a piece of wagyu beef with a wild mushroom sauce.

There is a silky texture and wonderful balance running through the mid palate, with the quality French oak adding subtle charry characters. The tannins are fine and balanced, combining with a tight acid structure to give a long, lingering and powerful finish. The light gaminess adds complexity, which will continue to develop with age.
