The palate is medium bodied with a juicy, sappy black cherry core balanced by fine spicy tannins. Great length and bright acidity deliver a vibrant finish. Needing time to open, this wine will reward time in the cellar.

On the palate, a dense, dark berry entry and hints of spice are supported by an elegant tannin structure.

Red berries and dark cherry dominate the nose, firm mid palate tannins lead to pleasing acidity on the back.

The front palate shows the cherry and strawberry fruit characters. There is a silky texture and wonderful balance running through the mid palate, with the quality French oak adding subtle charry characters. The tannins are fine and balanced, combining with a tight acid structure to give a long, lingering and powerful finish. The light gaminess adds complexity, which will continue to develop with age.
