Murdoch Hill vineyard and winery are located behind the township of Oakbank in the beautiful Adelaide Hills. In 1939 the first generation bought this farm – and, 60 years later, in 1998, second generation first planted vines here. So the third generation caring for this land.

Murdoch Hills winery now oprated by 3 brothers in third generation – youngest brother Michael Downer is Chief Winemaker; older brother Andrew Downer oversees marketing. Eldest brother Henry sits on our Board.

Artisan Series is a nod to Downer family history – each wine is named after a vintage horse-drawn carriage, as the grandfather, first generation, was an avid collector.
