The palate continues the aromatics with fleshy blue fruits and fine tannins, interwoven with fine spice from whole bunch pressing and French oak, finishing with vibrant fruit and lifted acidity.

There is complexity and power, balanced by pure fruit notes and cool season spice. It shows powerful fruit, with ripe red cherry, smoked meat, and olive notes, framed by fine but firm tannins. Great length of flavour.

We have a long-standing relationship with the Primavera family - having sourced fruit from the vineyard for some years. Testament to the increasing quality of this site, we are now producing a single vineyard Pinot Noir from Primavera.

These slowly-ripened grapes develop pure fruit flavours, fresh natural acidi ty and are perfect for making world class cool-climate wines.

Mike Press Pinot Noir is an elegant wine with soft dark fruit and a fresh violet lift. This wine has a spicy complexity on the finish, a great example of an expectational Pinot Noir.

On the palate the wine shows complex savoury fruit and spice and is long, textural and juicy. Bright, young fruit now will match well with crispy duck breast or a piece of wagyu beef with a wild mushroom sauce.

The wine then moves into a dense richly textured mouthfeel. Elegance, finesse abound holding the wine into a tightly knit package whilst will drink superbly in its youth will also reward those who choose to cellar the wine.

The basalt based underlying volcanic soil and rock produce a characteristically fine yet extended, spicy and firm palate.

Subtly, but with power, elegance, mystery, sensualness and ultimately pleasure and enjoyment.

The palate is a juxtaposition of vibrant red berry fruits and finely structured tannins building towards a generously velvety core of cherry and spice balanced by precise seam of acidity that draws the palate out to a long lingering finish.

Red berries and dark cherry dominate the nose, firm mid palate tannins lead to pleasing acidity on the back.

Precise and bright palate, the hallmarks of 2021, with raspberry fruit and a graphite savouriness. Oak plays a supporting role for a wine that will age gracefully over the next few years.

A vibrant and fresh pinot It displays black cherry, strawberry, and subtle spice characters that are medium to light in feel but energetic and long in flavour.
