Dark black macerated cherries, roasted meat juices, soy and star anise. Subtle sandalwood, rosemary and sage, blood orange and cloves. On the palate, bright, dark cherry fruit, with a hint of blood orange, thyme and rosemary, savoury, meaty, soy, roast mushroom and truffle. Long and firmly structured but elegant.

A core of dense, concentrated dark fruits are framed by fresh raspberry and cranberry notes. Subtle earthy notes and Indian spice sit in the background wrapped in the French oak. A vibrant acidity and fine tannin profile ensure a long and powerful finish.

Cold tea, Asian spice and a lifted, almost polished character that seems to be based on rose petals, something floral but not overpowering. Silky texture, fine tannins and perfume.

There is a wonderful finesse, layers of interest, and finely held textural tannins extending through the long palate. A wine with vibrant focus, intensity and drive.

Framed by ripe, moderate tannin the sweet strawberry fruit is complemented but not dominated by spice.

Delicious and lively, to taste the fresh Mornington acidity dancing on the palate, with shape from the delicate fruit tannins and lacy oak tannins.

The vibrant palate is smooth and even with an abundance of ripe berry and plum flavours intermingled with sweet oak nuances, fine savoury tannins and a velvety mouthfeel. Silky texture and gamey.

The front palate shows the cherry and strawberry fruit characters. There is a silky texture and wonderful balance running through the mid palate, with the quality French oak adding subtle charry characters. The tannins are fine and balanced, combining with a tight acid structure to give a long, lingering and powerful finish. The light gaminess adds complexity, which will continue to develop with age.

It’s elegant and aromatic, deeply flavoured but never weighty; its silky and supple texture is underpinned by long, tender tannins and seductively fresh acidity. The beautifully calibrated finish is enchantingly slinky and impressively persistent.
