The aroma sings of kirsch syrup, mocha, cherry ripe and charred French oak. The palate is bright and generously up front and aptly supports the aroma with juicy raspberry, chocolate and berry compote, driven by frisky acidity. The wine is particularly easy drinking with fine but abundant tannin. With generous length, the wine is delectably moreish and is ready to fully appreciate now or over the next ten years. Would compliment pate and charcuterie.
1998 Planting of MV6 Pinot Noir on the south facing slope on the property. The final wine incorporated 20% whole bunch, was indigenously fermented and hand plunged twice daily before maturation in 40% new French oak hogsheads for 10 months.
Shimmering ruby red in appearance.
