The front palate shows the cherry and strawberry fruit characters. There is a silky texture and wonderful balance running through the mid palate, with the quality French oak adding subtle charry characters. The tannins are fine and balanced, combining with a tight acid structure to give a long, lingering and powerful finish. The light gaminess adds complexity, which will continue to develop with age.

The palate follows a similar path of red berry fruit particularly raspberries with a river pebble tannin providing structure. Lively acid gives freshness, this should evolve to be a classic Yarra Pinot Noir.

Dark red berry and cherry fruits blend seamlessly with dark herbs, earthiness, raspberry liqueur and liquorice elements, all wrapped up a fine-grained tannin and refined structural bow.

Dense and lush, the palate has a soft pinot generosity to it that’s balanced against subtle spice notes, fine tannin, ripe acid, and a signature length and digestibility.

The palate is medium bodied with juicy red cherries, soft acid and fine chalky tannins.

Red maraschino cherries, forest berries, and jasmine notes with a hint of ripe tomato. Smooth integration of vanilla and subtle spice from the oak. Flavour, body, and finish built to drink on release or age.

Dark cherry, satsuma plums and red berry aromas savory woodland earthiness with crunchy red berries and fine, firm tannins.

Dark black macerated cherries, roasted meat juices, soy and star anise. Subtle sandalwood, rosemary and sage, blood orange and cloves. On the palate, bright, dark cherry fruit, with a hint of blood orange, thyme and rosemary, savoury, meaty, soy, roast mushroom and truffle. Long and firmly structured but elegant.

On the palate the wine shows complex savoury fruit and spice and is long, textural and juicy. Bright, young fruit now will match well with crispy duck breast or a piece of wagyu beef with a wild mushroom sauce.

Dark cherry and plum notes enhanced by subtle French oak and chalky, persistent tannins. A lingering finish and delicate balance round out this Reserve release and a long future seems assured.

The palate is bright and energetic with red fruit flavours filling out the mid palate, the finish is long and uplifting. This is an elegant and finely structured McCrone Pinot Noir, characteristic of the 2018 vintage.

A bouquet of fresh strawberries and cherries, then emphasised on the pallet as dark cherry and bramble fruits come to the fore. The structure is ample, coming in the form of vibrant acidity, subtle oak characters and fine tannins which work in unison to elegantly frame the powerful fruit characters.
