The front palate shows the cherry and strawberry fruit characters. There is a silky texture and wonderful balance running through the mid palate, with the quality French oak adding subtle charry characters. Though primary red fruit are visibly dominant, there is more to be found; Christmas spices, rosehip and floral notes like lilies and freshly cut hay are the more obvious characters that we see. The supporting role of the oak intensifies the underlying tobacco and caramel notes.

Alluringly fresh out the glass, you get lovely scents of dark cherry, exotic spice and an earthy tinge. It’s silky and vibrant fleshy, with a fine-boned structure offering plenty of immediate drinking pleasure. Wrapping around a core of deep red fruit, the tannins are perfectly formed and it closes with powerful length, elegance and freshness.

The entry on the palate is gently sweet, then aided by balanced natural acidity, strawberry seed tannin carries the palate to a point.
