Yarra Valley, VIC, Australia
The 2024 Sticks Pinot Noir captures the approachable charm and bright fruit of the Yarra Valley, Victoria’s oldest cool-climate wine region. Crafted with drinkability front of mind, this release reflects the balance between vibrant fruit and fine structure that has defined Sticks since its founding in 2001.
The 2024 season brought a warm, dry winter and stable early growth, followed by January rains and a long, warm finish in February and March. These conditions allowed the fruit to ripen with intensity and complexity while retaining freshness.
A blend of parcels was fermented in both static fermenters and open pots, with an average of 8 days on skins before maturation in a mix of stainless steel and seasoned French oak.
Tasting Note
Fragrant aromas of bright strawberry lead into a palate of plush red fruits, bramble, and thyme leaf. Vibrant acidity and fine, chalky tannins provide freshness and structure. A juicy, modern Yarra Pinot that pairs as well with smoked duck breast as with chips in front of the footy.
