"Incredibly intense aromas of cherries, strawberries, peaches, melon and fresh flowers. Medium-bodied with creamy, open-grained tannins and a juicy finish. Refreshing, vivid and vibrant."
"Incredibly intense aromas of cherries, strawberries, peaches, melon and fresh flowers. Medium-bodied with creamy, open-grained tannins and a juicy finish. Refreshing, vivid and vibrant. A pinot noir for today. From a mix of clones on their own roots planted in 1999 and farmed organically. Drink or hold."
— James Suckling, Top 100 Wines of 2025Delivering outstanding value, this 100% Bannockburn Pinot Noir is crafted from Terra Sancta's highest altitude vineyard, the Mysterious Diggings vineyard. Vines grown at 300 meters above sea level in sandy soils on Mysterious Diggings produce flavourful, pristine Pinot Noir. Hand-picked and treated gently in the winery, our goal is to preserve the beauty of the fruit to create this delicious, vibrant Pinot Noir.
Central Otago has quickly established itself as ground zero for Pinot Noir in New Zealand — in the words of Jancis Robinson, "many believe this is where the Pinot grail is to be found".
