Mornington, VIC, Australia
The Trahere Pinot Noir 2022 marks a watershed moment for Ten Minutes by Tractor: the first-ever release crafted solely from the high-density Spedding Vineyard, a 1.48-hectare site planted to three of the world’s most revered Pinot Noir clones — Abel, Pommard, and Calera. Purposefully selected for this project, these clones thrive in the vineyard’s due-east aspect and 180m elevation, producing fruit of exceptional aromatic lift, textural intensity, and structural definition.
The 2022 season began with a wet and variable spring, especially around flowering, reducing yields but enhancing concentration. A long, warm and even summer followed by ideal autumn conditions created perfect ripening weather, delivering small bunches packed with flavour and natural acidity.
