The Marlborough Region of New Zealand is one of the best spots in the world for delicate, complex Pinot Noir, and the Ta Ku Pinot Noir, with a certain charm and elusiveness, is no exception. It's a fruit-forward, medium-bodied red wine, a deep garnet in colour, with a bouquet of dark berry fruit peppered with notes of mocha and finished with a subtle hint of toasty oak. There's just enough tannin to give the wine support, without an over-drying finish. Pair this with grilled lamb or roasted duck breast.
