The fruit for this wine is from estate plantings. The wine was fermented using wild yeasts indigenous to our vineyard. The cool season has produced an elegant wine, red cherry in colour with forest floor, dried flowers, red cherry fruit and spicy French oak. It is a beautifully balanced wine with a long, seamless palate and silky tannins. It will develop further in the bottle over the next five years or so.
Just two hours from the Melbourne CBD but a world away, you’ll find a Gippsland winery Melbourne loves to visit. Down an avenue of picturesque Maple trees framed by the stunning foothills of the great dividing range lies the hidden gem Narkoojee. Narkoojee means ‘place of flowers’, it’s a place where good things bloom: award-winning wines, flavoursome food, and memorable times with family and friends.
