Yarra Valley, VIC, Australia
"Aromatic bouquet of ripe red cherries, wild strawberries and a little briar. Just as good on the medium-bodied, crunchy-fruited and energetic palate. Pliant tannins round out a wine that will still be drinking well a decade from now."
In Dreams continues to elevate the modern Yarra Valley style—vibrant, finely structured, and crystal clear in its varietal expression. The 2024 vintage is a quintessential cool-climate Pinot Noir sourced from premium vineyards across the Upper and Lower Yarra, including Seville East, St Andrews, Healesville, Coldstream, and Yarra Glen.
With elevations ranging from 130–240m and a mix of red volcanic and grey clay loams over mudstone, this patchwork of sites offers fruit of exceptional purity and finesse. Despite a wet, challenging season—180mm of rain in January—the vineyard team delivered pristine, ripe fruit. The winemaking was kept minimal to preserve site character: 95% destemmed, 5% whole bunch, 12 days in open-top fermenters with gentle extraction, and élevage in French oak (15% new) for subtle polish.
Bright ruby in the glass, the nose is lifted and aromatic—cranberry, strawberry, thyme, rhubarb, hibiscus and orange peel. The palate is light-bodied and precise, with juicy acidity and silky tannins framing notes of maraschino cherry, pomegranate and a gentle, refreshing bitterness from the whole bunches. A wine of real tension, purity, and charm.

“So vibrant and pure… rhubarb, hibiscus, herbes de Provence, strawberry coulis and citrus peel… light-bodied, finely grained tannins, wild raspberry flavours… delicate, crunchy and pure.”
Fine Pinot Note
A benchmark expression of contemporary Yarra Valley Pinot—lifted, textural, and true to site. It’s approachable in youth, yet detailed enough for short- to mid-term cellaring. Pair with duck breast, roast quail, or a mushroom risotto.
